My portraits are rendered from photographs I take
with my digital camera. I can take as many photos as
necessary to capture the nature and personality of each
subject. Photos can be taken at your location or mine and
there is no sitting fee (within the Triangle NC area).

Portraits are usually completed within three weeks, but my
workload varies, so it pays to plan ahead.
The portraits are produced using a variety of graphite drawing
pencils on bristol sheets. These sheets allow for the gradual
blending of the graphite. This smoothly blended appearance
best replicates the subtle characteristics of skin.
